Amanda is a somatically based counsellor and psychotherapist, focusing on the body-mind connection. Amanda holds a Master’s degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Bachelor’s degree with honours in Psychology. Additionally, she has received training in Compassionate Inquiry, IFS, and Trauma and Attachment. Prior to transitioning into counselling, Amanda accumulated 13 years of experience as a physical therapist, holding diplomas in massage therapy, manual osteopathy, and acupuncture. This diverse background deeply informs her practice in somatic counselling, offering a profound understanding of the body-mind connection. Amanda integrates wisdom from both physical and mental health disciplines, creating an empathetic space with a holistic and integrative approach to facilitate change.
On a personal level, she hails from Canada and believes that maple syrup goes with everything. An animal lover at heart, Amanda enjoys camping with her family and spending time in nature.
